A New World

A lithe white femme glided through the dust, her paws drumming out a fast rythem as they effortlessley carried her through the dust choaked valley. She kept her auds perked high and aleart as she listened for any sounds of approach. Her nares also stayed highly sensative as the dust that formed a cloud around her made it slightly harder to pick out the finer details and she had to rely on her other senses to tell her of a possible ambush.

As she was so concentrated on listening for any danger her paw hit a large sharp thorn and she yelped loudly, pain clear in her voice as she tripped, unable to put weight on her paw and fell to the ground, rolling and skidding a couple a meters before coming to a stop and laying still for a while, breathing heavily and watching the blood seep out of the large gash in her paw and the spiked thorn sticking out of it. She whimpered slightly and pushed herself up, her injured paw lifted of the ground to prevent any more pain that would be caused by putting pressure on it.

She snarled at herself in annoyance as she hobbled further, leaving a small trail of blood behind her as she tried to make progress as fast and as painlessley as she could. She raised her maw to the sky and inhaled, scenting the air and she caught the scent of a pack boundary just ahead. She hopped a couple more meters before collapsing onto the ground, setting her jaw in determination. She would not let this get in the way of joining a pack. She lowered her head and tried to grab the thorn between her teeth but pain shot up her leg and she squirmed away before darting forward and ripping it out before she lost the nerve.

Further blood dribbled out of the wound and she grimaced as her pad throbbed. She raised her maw to the sky and let out a howl, her song echoing around the area as she called forth the alpha, asking for a place to stay and call home. As she last notes faded from her lips she rested on the ground and started to lick her paw to clean off the worst the the blood that was matting her fur and turning it red. She settled down and waited patiently.

A large crimson red wolf in colour raised his head and sniffed the dirt filled sky. The sun scorched above his large form as he lay around the den, keeping watch on his territory.A new scent filled his nostrils and carried a message to his brain. A stray wolf had entered his territory. But, Miciel smelled blood, this new loner was wounded.

Suddenly, a long drawn out howl filled his ears, and he perked them, picking up the sound obviously female. He stood, his fur seemingly angry as it glinted garnet in color. He pointed his long snout towards the sound, and prepared to meet this new fae. He began to run towards his border, his long legs carrying him silently and swiftly against the hardened burnt earth. Over a hill at the edge of the territory he met her, white in form, and smaller than him. Miciel raised his hackles, proving himself as alpha to this unknown canine.

The white fae looked up at the crimson brute that stood before her and she dipped her head respectfully, her body posture lowering in further respect as she looked upon the alpha of the lands. Her paw throbbed painfully and she looked down at the sticky, red puddle that was growing on the ground. She stooped to lick it at the same time breathing on it, a flicker of flame touched her paw and the blood started to dry, stopping the flow and scabbing it over. Content with her handiwork she looked back up at the alpha and cleared her throat.

"Umm...Hi, i'm looking for a place to call home." She said, straightening up slightly as she spoke, "i thought coming here would be best as this if the fire pack and i weild the element. I can offer you plenty. Is ther anything you want me to do to show my worth? oh, i'm Crystal by the way." She looked down self consciously, realising she had probably made a mess of that.

Miciel raised his powerful maw and took his dominant stance over the small fae. A tendril of a scent flowed through his snout and he looked down. Her paw was bleeding. Quickly, without a sound, he twisted his paw towards hers and pinned her forleg down. He smelled the wound curiously, then gazed apon her, his look bore straight through into her very soul.

Still pinning her paw, Miciel stated calmly and quietly," You may stay as beta, but only because youre a fire wielder. Otherwise I would have driven you off of this place." He turned slowly and sat down, gazing at the distant sun.

Crystal blinked in surprise as the large brute landed a heavy paw on her leg and looked at her paw. She winced slightly, it still hurt but it wasn't nearly as bad as it had been before. She lowered her stance further slightly as he took up a more dominant one, thinking that, maybe, she had offended him by sitting too high. Her golden orbs remained transfixed upon his as he held her paw down and she started to feel nervous, he was a big wolf and she didn't quite know where she stood.

Then he spoke and she was surprised by how calmly and quietly he spoke, but she quickly shook the thought away, concentrating on his words. BETA?! wow, that was a quick acceptance, she was surprised she had been accepted at all. An injured wolf hardly proved good material for a pack. But it would heal soon, afterall, the wound was not that bad. She felt pleased she had been offered a good position so soon and striaghtened up with a smile. She watched him turn away and blinked as her own orbs fell upon the sun. It naturally appealed to her, a mass of hot, red, fire and she felt herself staring at it. She pulled her gaze away and looked back at the alpha, she would make a good beta, she would see to it that he did not regret his mistake.

She moved next to him, leaving a couple of meters inbetween them as she sat and turned to face him, "thankyou" she said softly before returning her gaze to the glowing ball of fire.

Miciel gave her meerly a glance when she sat down away from him. He didn't care, but he should start heading back to the den now...

He stood, the glare of the setting sun glowing against his crimson fur, his fire coloured eyes scanning the distance. And he started to lope away, his long strides carrying him swiftly over the ground, as if the earth was being pulled out from underneath of his massive size.

{ooc-sorry, I had a bit of a brain fart...}

Crystal watched the sun for a little longer, her ears twitching as she listened to the alpha's fading paw beats. It occured to her she still didn't know his name, she would have to ask later. She pushed herself up and winced as she put too much weight down on her paw. A thought occured ot her and she mentally slapped herself for not thinking of it sooner. Probably because she couldn't see and feel them all the time. yes. that was why she was always forgetting about them.

She raised her head to the sky and thought of being up in the clouds, and the familiar longing sensation suddenly gripped her. She felt her shoulder blades shift as they made way for something to grow out of her back and she winced in pain as large, white, feathered wings suddenly rapidly grew out of her back. The wingspan was huge and it suddenly occured to her that she didn't know how she was going to get up into the air. Normally she ran to take off but she could hardly do that fast enough with her paw.

Oh well, maybe a stanstill might work, she thought to herself, truley hoping that it would. She reared up onto her hind legs, her wings pushing down hard as she pushed up with her backlegs, every muscle in her legs working to push herself high enough to get a clean swoop and push down with her wings. Her back paws touched the ground again after the first jump and she sprung again, pushing down harder and creating a large cloud of dust that engulfed her whole body.

A white form rose vertically out of the red particles though and she brought herself down low to the ground so she could follow the alpha's scent until she saw him. With that she set off, gliding swiftly over the land in persuit of her new home.

Miciel let his paws fly as he headed away from his borders and towards the den. Sinew rippling beneath him, he sprinted forward, almost flying. If one so happened to be around, they would see him as a crimson blurr, mayhaps they would even see a twist of ear, the scar on his face from a fight long ago, or even , if they perhaps looked hard enough, they would see the colour of his eyes. They were as bright and wild as fire itself, ever changing hue and darkness in the setting of the sun. They seemed to dance with blazes of garnet, lemon and orange.

Miciel had always been proud of himself, maybe too proud. Afterall, he had never lost a fight before, and he was a terrible feind. Only once was he near losing, hence the scar on his face. As he neared the den he paused, slowing down and pearing behind him to see if the white fae was anywhere in sight.

The white femme easille followed the large, crimson brute, her eyes tracking his every movement as she followed him back to her new home, swooping and gliding easilly, her injured paw hung limply beneath her. She wished she had thought of it sooner, she mihgt have been able to save herself a great deal of pain and she made a mental note to remember of her wings in the future. However she didn't quite know how the alpha would react to her...differences.

He stopped and she saw him look back, obviously for her and she smiled slightly, he hadn't thought to look up. She smile quickly faded though. Would he be angered? Should she had told him before hand? but then, she had forgotten and the thought hadn't passed her mind as she spoke of her skills to the alpha. Her head lowered as she hovered gently and lowered herself to the ground, a couple of meters short of the alpha, right infront of where he had been looking for her.

Her rear paws touched the earth first and she stood there on her rear legs before alighting on the ground. She then winced in pain as he wings slowly receeded back into her shoulderblades and left no trace of them ever being there. she waited, what would he think?

Miciel stared. Wings? What kind of wolf had wings? His golden fired eyes narrowed, but he would allow her.

He continued on his way, weaving about in a playful manner, not happy, but not in a bad mood either.

(ooc, sorry brainfart, its been awhile. lets continue this at the densite)
